Located in the Illinois Medical District, the UI Welcome Atrium is a two-story glass-clad lobby connecting to the main hospital — the space improves access, circulation, and wayfinding for patients, visitors, and staff, while enhancing the interior ambience. Toro provided a general trades package, including exterior CFMF, rough carpentry, metal framing, drywall/taping, acoustical ceiling, thermal insulation, rain-screen cladding, zinc-coated exterior panels, and installation of specialty marine-grade lumber and plywood.
