John Pennycuff Memorial Apartments features seven stories of affordable-rate apartments. The building features 88 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments targeted towards LGBTQ tenants. Amenities include ground-floor retail and 18 parking spaces. Developed by the non-profit Metropolitan Housing Development Corp. and designed by CSA Partners, the project is Chicago's largest LGBTQ-friendly affordable housing building to date. Toro provided a general trades package that included delegated design for walls and floor systems, rough carpentry, finish carpentry, and drywall assemblies.
