Parkside V Phase III Building 22
Parkside V, Phase III – Building 22 is part of the Chicago Housing Authority’s ongoing redevelopment of the former Cabrini-Green site in partnership with Holsten Real Estate Development Corporation. Located on Hobbie Street in the Near North Side, this phase includes construction of an eight-story, 69-unit residential building as part of the broader Parkside 5 development.
Parkside 5 represents the fifth and final phase of the mixed-use Parkside at Old Town community and will deliver a total of 99 new apartments across a combination of mid-rise and walk-up buildings. The development features a mix of market-rate and affordable housing, with 37 units designated for households earning 50% to 60% of the area median income through a 20-year Section 8 Housing Assistance Payment program.
The project includes a range of resident amenities such as a community room, fitness center, and on-site social services, along with outdoor features including a publicly accessible playground and dog park. The eight-story building also incorporates townhomes at its base, contributing to a diverse and community-oriented residential environment.
Toro is serving as a subcontractor on the project, providing rough carpentry, framing, drywall, and insulation services to support the successful delivery of this transformative housing development.
