Ogden Commons (OC) Living – Building A1, located at 1325 S. Washtenaw Ave in Chicago, is a 92-unit residential development and the first housing phase of a larger mixed-use, mixed-income community. The broader Ogden Commons plan will include over 100,000 square feet of future commercial and retail space anchored by Mt. Sinai Hospital.
This phase features a multi-family building with community-focused amenities, including a lobby, fitness center, computer room, and resident services space, along with outdoor elements such as a children’s playground, picnic areas, landscaped green space, and pedestrian-friendly walkways. The development offers a mix of unit types, including townhouse-style residences, and incorporates Energy Star-rated appliances.Designed to provide high-quality, inclusive housing, the project includes a mix of 40% RAD, 50% LIHTC affordable, and 10% market-rate units.
Toro served as the subcontractor for a comprehensive general trades package, including rough carpentry, drywall, thermal insulation, EIFS, doors/frames/hardware, specialty acoustical ceilings, and finish woodwork, playing a key role in delivering this vibrant community.
