The project consists of the restoration and commercial interior renovation of an existing four-tenant building located at 800 W Garfield Blvd and 5458–5444 S Halsted St, including fire damage repairs and system upgrades. The 3,570 SF convenience store (5452 S Halsted) sustained fire damage to the roof structure, which was repaired with replacement of damaged roof sections, and received a complete interior build-out. The existing building electrical service equipment was vandalized during the fire and was replaced with new electrical panels provided for each tenant space. Two retail spaces—800 W Garfield Blvd (1,410 SF) and 5444 S Halsted St (1,393 SF)—were renovated and converted into vanilla box conditions including restrooms, while the 1,010 SF restaurant at 5458 S Halsted remained unchanged aside from electrical service upgrades. The scope also included storefront restoration, architectural improvements, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection upgrades to restore the building to safe, code-compliant operating condition.
